The café de la variedad Bucaramanga is growing in the department of Santander, located around the Oriental region. This coffee growing region is mainly of the Arabica, Caturra and Típica varieties.

These altitudes mean that there are only two harvests per year, from August to January and from mid-May to July. Most of the coffee plantations grow in the shade and in smallholdings.
